BASIC FUNCTION

Provide assistance to Hiring Managers in the areas of job posting, background checks, software upkeep and pre-screening of candidates for positions throughout the company

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Responsible for upkeep of recruiting software to include tracking of all positions both open and closed.

Ensure that company does not hire more than the contracted amount of people for each job.

Post and track open positions both on our internal and external sites.

Write and post open positions to multiple websites including military sites.

Conduct background checks on prospective employees for those sites in which the contract requires.

Manage the software and run reports for our Affirmative Action Program.

Perform interviews on certain positions as required.

Assist with HR Assistant duties when on vacation or out sick.

Assist with salary searches and COLA increases for bids.

Responsible for additional clerical duties such as copying and compiling forms, miscellaneous filing, etc.

Perform additional duties/assignments as may be required by management

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum 3 years experience in Human Resources.

Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in MS Office.

Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Experience with Kronos HR, HireDesk and Speedeeo software a plus.

Attention to detail a must.

Ability to work with all levels of employees.

Our Dallas, TX client is seeking an Administrative/ Executive Assistant.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides administrative support to the Vice President-Administration, President/CEO and to the Office in general.  This position is primarily responsible for heavy filing for multiple entities and departments; heavy transcribing of memos, letters, etc; ordering office/kitchen supplies; helping to maintain office maintenance (letting the building know when to replace light bulbs, etc); maintaining the phone system, office equipment, etc;  preparing bank deposits for accounting;  approval of various invoices (such as office supplies); liaison with various entities for the President/CEO; updates for various schedules (such as file lists, phone book, contributions, etc).  This position is also a back-up for picking up the mail for the office from the mail box (locating in the Lobby of the office building), sorting and delivering the mail to the office; postage for daily mail and mailing same; answering the phones and sending/receiving faxes; typing the daily drilling report and also a back-up for the house secretary position when that person is out of the office.

EDUCATION REQUIRED: BA is desired or a minimum of two years of college.

SKILLS & TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: looking for an individual who can multi-task, welcomes new assignments and projects, is flexible and imaginative with excellent verbal, written and communication skills; proficient in Word and Excel.  This candidate should have the ability to work independently with little supervision or direction and be proactive in finding solutions. Speedwriting or shorthand is a big plus, as well as the ability to quickly read back the shorthand and make revisions where necessary.  Oil and gas experience/knowledge is desirable.  Should have a strong ability to concentrate and focus and pay attention to details.   Typing of at least 60 wpm.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: no less than 5 years as an Administrative Assistant in an executive office environment.

Description:

Manages and directs the activities of the engineering technical support group which are responsible for engineering special calculations (e.g.: structural finite element analysis, rotordynamic analysis), noise and vibration trouble shouting, failure analysis. Support to SAP, PDM, company standards, International Standards (e.g.: API, NACE, HI, etc.), Warranty, Order Related Engineering, CSS Field Engineering, Product Development and Technology Transfer associated tasks and issues. Also other engineering services related to the design, manufacture and test of centrifugal pumps, components and equipment. Insures that pump designs have integrity, engineering calculations and failure analysis reports are prepared in accordance with customer requirements and department policies and procedures.

Functions:

- Plans, organizes, schedules, estimates costs, and assigns engineering work

- Provides leadership and direction to subordinates with particular emphasis on initiative, training, planning, timely completion of assignments, and meeting estimates

- Provides engineering technical support to Warranty, Order Related Engineering, CSS Field Engineering,

- Product Development and Technology Transfer associated tasks and issues. Also supports SAP, PDM implementation, company standards, and International Standards (e.g.: API, NACE, HI, etc.)

- Prepares budgets, monitors and controls costs, forecasts workload, and manages resources

- Insures the group employs sound engineering practices and judgment with consideration for design for manufacturability

- Promotes teamwork between engineering and other areas of the company

- Promotes and maintains an image of technical excellence and high integrity

- Provides subordinates with a working environment that will encourage professional growth, cross training, increased productivity, and job satisfaction

- Performs duties as back-up for Department Manager during absence

- Supports, cooperates with, and participates in company-wide EHS Management System which includes following all safety, health and environmental policies and procedures. Supports and cooperates in company-wide Quality Management and Lean efforts

- Performs other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Supervises a group of engineers
  • Provides for training and development of engineering personnel

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent training and experience. PE or Master Degree are desirable qualifications.
  • 10 years experience in design and application of rotating equipment, failure analysis and resolution of field problems, are strongly preferred. Also experience in design of Nuclear rotating equipment, vertical equipment, special design calculations (e.g.: FE structural analysis, rotordynamic analysis, etc.) are desirable qualifications.
  • Minimum five years in supervisory position
  • Superior interpersonal, written and verbal communication, analytical, and supervisory skills
  • PE is a plus!

Our Fort Worth, TX client is seeking a Technical Writer on a Direct Hire basis.  A background in commercial or industrial construction is ideal.

FUNCTION

The Technical Writer is responsible for composing, arranging and editing construction and design/engineering bid solicitations. This involves the gathering information from pertinent personnel, online research, as well as by referencing past proposals. Additionally, the Technical Writer updates and manages a database of past performance records, maintains the company website, creates/edits marketing presentations and other writing/editing duties as assigned.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinate with the Company Controller to assess priority level of upcoming proposals

Coordinate with Project Managers to assess appropriate strategies for creating construction and design/build proposals

Research contract requirements via published OSHA and other governmental organization material

Research successful past performance proposals for effectiveness of proposal strategies

Compose content for the company website

Review proposals with construction managers and other pertinent personnel

Manage company documentation, including company information such as resumes and job descriptions

Edit existing marketing materials and gather information from pertinent personnel to create new marketing presentations

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors’ degree, preferably in English or Writing, or construction-related degree with demonstrably equivalent writing experience.

Advanced writing, proofreading, and editing skills the ability to organize information according to changing, specific instructions is essential.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Ability to perform a variety of work assignments efficiently and accurately while under pressure and in an atmosphere of frequent interruptions

Working knowledge of business English, spelling and grammar

Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, customers and the general public

Strong organizational skills

Ability to meet deadlines and maintain confidential information

A high degree of customer service skills are required when interfacing with customers to gather information from subcontractors or government representatives

MENTAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Work requires sitting, standing, stooping, bending and walking. Position requires photocopying, faxing and filing various correspondence, documents and reports.

Work is varied in nature and is performed with frequent interruptions. Work requires paying extremely close attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to lift up to 10 pounds
