Role Purpose

The role holder will be responsible for being an integral member of US Facilities Management Team by supporting the office and facilities operations in companies growing Houston office.  Responsibilities will include working in our mailroom/production room, taking inventory and restocking of supplies, assisting with meeting room and workstation set ups, monitoring and responding to tickets generated through the Houston Facilities Mailbox.  Additional tasks may include assisting other internal business support departments when required.

General Facilities

  • Monitoring and responding to tickets generated through the Houston Facilities Mailbox
  • Liaise with Building Engineers on maintenance calls within the Suites – i.e. light bulbs, HVAC calls, etc.
  • Assist with maintaining internal security access system
  • Assist with maintaining/setup audio-visual equipment for meeting rooms
  • Assist Receptionist with meeting room set ups – bringing in extra equipment/chairs, etc.
  • Assist Receptionist with any large mailings or packages and organize couriers if needed – incl. FedEx, local Houston couriers, etc.
  • Process company mail when the Receptionist is away
  • Maintaining inventories for office, break room and coffee supplies

Client-related Activities

  • Assist Technology Team with any internal desk/office moves as needed
  • Perform other ad hoc Facilities Management assignments as necessary

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Candidates should be confident, outgoing and professional with at least 2 years experience of working in a similar role.  High school graduate with equivalent combination’s of experience and training in a corporate business environment.  The successful candidate should have the ability to take initiative, provide customer service in a faced-paced environment, act as a self-starter and have excellent organization skills.  Experience with Microsoft Office products, the Internet and Outlook is preferred.  Must be comfortable lifting up to 25 lbs.

Purpose

Responsible for being an integral member of US Technology Infrastructure Team, supporting technology functions in the company’s growing Houston office. Responsibilities will include building desktops and laptop according to the guidelines laid out by the senior technology specialist, monitor the technology help desk inbox and log tickets accordingly, assisting with workstation set ups, and keep track of toner inventories for all departments.

Position Description:

Ensure proper booking of operational business transactions into the company’s general ledgers.   Assist in all aspects of accounting for the company’s daily operations by participating in the monthly closings, accounts payable and receivable processing, preparation of financial statements, and maintenance of financial schedules and subsidiary ledgers.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the authorization for expenditure (AFE) process.  Activities include such things as receiving a request from engineering or operations for a new AFE, documenting the request in the appropriate systems, working with finance to determine budget status of the request, routing the request to receive required approvals, setting up a unique system identifier so that appropriate charges can be accumulated and identified as part of the AFE, etc.
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations of general ledger accounts; recommend appropriate accounting actions, etc.
  • Track 3rd party salt-water disposal activity and prepare monthly accrual for annual revenue from this activity.
  • Coordinate with gas scheduling to track volumetric data required to meet state regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Create and maintain daily accounting volume tracker from SCADA / gas scheduling inputs.
  • Work with peers to analyze accounting data and prepare / input journal vouchers to accrue appropriate, revenues and expenses, book assets, liabilities, etc.
  • Participate with the accounting team to ensure fulfillment of accounting/finance team objectives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree – Accounting
  • 1-2 years post collegiate accounting work experience
  • Experience and/or background in the oil and gas industry is HIGHLY preferred
  • Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • MS Excel and MS Office, intermediate skills needed.
  • Must be able to interact calmly and confidently with peers and a diverse group of engineering and operations colleagues.
